Juneteenth ART//CLUB: Open Space to Create 7-9pm

“Surpriseeee! Art//Club is taking place THIS Friday for Juneteenth! This time we’re centering Blackness and creativity. Each art club we will shift and evolve to create the best artist social space we can. This time we will work on art together as a group. We will make space to lean into unique art forms - this month is fabrication and diy fashion. Bring supplies and materials to make your own durags out of unique materials OR come design durags with cool art materials or markers!
While we’re making durags the mic is open to TALK YO SHIT! Anyone Black can come up and perform a song, recite spoken word or poetry, tell crazy stories of living in Amerikkkah while Black, lessons learned, affirmations for each other.
We will end the event with a group photo shoot with our durags and celebrating Blackness.
Non-Black folx are welcome to come and support, but will not be centered.”
