WishBaby x Drip Daily Music Video Drop

by Julie-C

Drip Daily and Wishbaby graced Hip Hop airspace with an off-the-cuff music video for “LongNoseWaterHose”. The swift drop was sparked by Wish’s recent feature on Purple Chair, a series spotlighting PNW Hip Hop produced by Drip Daily.

“The inspiration was super organic to be honest,” shared Flash, co-founder of Drip Daily, “One camera. One room. Creative shooting. Cool video. Just like that.”

“I like things like that,” added Wish, “[spontaneity] showcases an artists’ creativity to the max. It demonstrates you can use anything around you on the fly.”

In a time when everything feels meticulously curated for the markets and algorithms, the track comes from a project that itself is a challenge to the norm.

“LongNoseWaterHose” is song #64 is a 100-track freestyle project by Wish produced by Glacier Baby.

“It was easy for me to work with someone who trusts my creativity and had the skills to amplify direction,” reflected Wish.

The collaboration is both testimony to the creative chops of all parties involved, as well as a nod to the future of the music industry in the context of AI-riddled late stage capitalism.

“Being able to read the room and adapt, while assessing the performer or the main subject and letting a bunch of random ideas pop into your head rapid fire while sorting through them simultaneously is definitely what makes a project have more personality then the everyday content that is constantly being pushed out,” observes Flash, “and letting yourself have fun and making it fun for everyone involved. We can do whatever we want! There are no rules! Spontaneity is how we prove that.”
