In Community, We Bloom: Queer Pride at Blue Cone
Family, you know that when we talk about being "on the block" here at Eleven Eleven, we are talking about an ecosystem. We are talking about a beautiful, living network of creative souls who hold space for one another so we can all walk our right paths with authenticity. That is why I am so deeply soulful to highlight the incredible magic happening right next door with our neighbors. Blue Cone Studios, located at 1520 11th Ave, is hosting a magnificent Queer Pride Art Exhibition curated by Emmerson Wheeler, titled In Community, We Bloom.
This exhibition is an intentional, beautiful look at the uplifting power of community, exploring the ways queer spaces and our natural environments shape and sustain us. Just like natural ecosystems, queer communities are deeply interconnected, resilient, and rooted in care. These qualities aren't just concepts—they are vital, essential lifelines that provide the foundational spaces needed to support one another in living fully and authentically.
When you pull up to the block for the Capitol Hill Art Walk receptions on June 11th and July 9th from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, you are stepping into a sanctuary filled with themes of community, queer joy, acceptance, and belonging. This exhibition shines a necessary light on Seattle LGBTQ+ artists who remind us that our environments—both physical and emotional—are not incidental. They are vital to our survival and our happiness. They offer us consistent places to gather, to rest, and to grow, reinforcing the beautiful truth that queer presence and joy are fundamental to the overall quality of life in our city.
The sheer amount of local talent filling the gallery space is incredible. This exhibition features a powerful, diverse lineup of featured artists, including:
Bugatti Art
Teela DeLeon
Quinn Hallenbeck
Don Honey
Deo Ibarra
Florence Johnson
Nell Kerr
Ciel LaZar

Alongside these featured creators, you will feel the grounding presence of Blue Cone’s Resident Artists, who keep the creative frequency alive on our block every single day: Julie-C, Ali Baccus, Joe Axler, KK Manga, BT, Jac Smith, Malia Villani, Carolyn Hitt, Japera Burres, Mark Mueller, Juno Danielson, AMAI, and Heartless Twyla.
Through these unique artistic perspectives, In Community, We Bloom invites every single one of us to pause and consider how joy is cultivated collectively. It challenges us to look at how the spaces we create, protect, and inhabit allow us not just to exist, but to truly flourish.
The full exhibition runs from June 11 through July 31, 2026. Come walk the block, immerse yourself in this incredible creative frequency, support local LGBTQ+ artists, and celebrate the beauty of blooming together. I can’t wait to see you there.
